Journey Into Prehistory

My girlfriend, Renee, and I took a trip to the Fernbank Museum of Natural History here in Atlanta today with her younger sister, Reghan. We've been talking about going for months now, but kept saving it for a special occasion. I really didn't know what to expect. I've been to The Museum of Natural History in NYNY as well as the fabulous Smithsonian one in DC, and they were both mind blowing. I was kind of ready to be disappointed. Thankfully, that wasn't the case at all. Sure, it's significantly smaller than their bigger brothers in NY and DC, but the exhibits are great. We had a ton of fun. Renee and I are even planning to go back again next weekend with sketchbooks in hand to have a big drawing day. So if you are looking for something different to do indoors in Atlanta this summer you should definitely check out the Fernbank. Here are some pics:

Renee has a thing for jumping photos. Now she and her sis have one from the Fernbank.

Beauty and the beast. I'm the one on the right ;)

My lady helping her sister put the finishing touches on her penguin outfit. Don't ask.

I'm still trying to figure out how I got talked into the penguin suit... but it was fun.
