Digital Creature Painting

I've never really done much digital painting. I've done comic coloring and occasionally got a little painterly with it, but never did fully rendered stuff in digital form. For that matter I haven't done that much traditional painting either. So this was a big step for me. I've tried some photoshop painting over the last few years with mixed results, but I always tried to use all the nifty photoshop tricks and filters. It never looked quite right. I definitely used layers and a few layer affects on this, but I mostly just laid down color with a few simple brushes and had fun. The line art is pencil art that I scanned in, and the rest is photoshop color. Let me know what you think.
